March: Salamander Meander

Hundred Acre Woods (24th Avenue & Cody Street entrance)

Meet a salamander up close and personal during this unique opportunity for families and adults to explore the double life of amphibians with a wonderful scientist and special guest teacher, Vikki Jackson!

Vikki Jackson has been a wetland ecologist for over twenty years. She received a Masters of Science in Biology from Western Washington University. Her work with wetlands has led to an interest (some would say obsession) with amphibians. Vikki has been the project manager of the Whatcom County Amphibian Monitoring project since 2013.
