November: Seeking Shelter

Cornwall Park (South Entrance)

Where would you find shelter in the wilderness? What does shelter look like for a Douglas squirrel? Or a Black-tailed deer? Or a human? All animals need certain elements to survive nature's reality and shelter is a top priority at this time of year. Lucky for us, we can learn the wilderness survival secrets of shelter-building using forest debris with special guest, Wild Whatcom Boys Mentor, Conor Lough.
