September: Night Hike on the Boardwalk

Tennant Lake Interpretive Center

The deep darkness of a waning moon, the sparkling stars, and the smell of marsh gas makes for an enlightening evening adventure! Discover what you need to be a nocturnal animal in this sensory exploration as we walk carefully along the boardwalk listening for beavers, owls, and other wild beasts. Watch the sunset glow on Mount Baker and witness the amazing "lighting of the marsh gas".
