Join Wild Whatcom and our local Audubon society as Citizen Scientists in a fun winter bird count at Lake Padden. We’ll meet indoors at the Cedar Grove Clubhouse (4915 Samish Way, Bellingham follow signs to clubhouse and park in the parking lot). Arrive at 8:30AM and through interactive games learn which birds we might see at Lake Padden. Families drive one mile to Lake Padden for a couple hours to count birds. Back at the clubhouse for lunch and to compile data and celebrate our success!

Cost: $15 per family (scholarships available). Register at chrisboyd353@gmail.com, 336-207-7505 by December 27. Space is limited. Children must be 7 years and older and accompanied by a parent who will also drive between sites.

Audubon provides morning snacks and drinks. Bring your own sack lunches. Dress warmly for our outdoor experience and bring binoculars if you have them. Profits are donated to conservation efforts. More information.
