Kids OUT! - Snow Play Day & Winter Survival Skills

Snow Play Day & Winter Survival Skills (Grades 3-5)

We're hopping on the Wild Whatcom bus and heading east on highway 542 into the heart of the North Cascades. Bring your sleds, shovels, and coziest snowsuits for a day of play and winter survival fun!

Under the shadows of Mt. Shuksan and Table Mountain, we will learn the Art of Shelter Building using one of the greatest materials the winter provides - snow! We will learn through experience the art and skill of creating snow caves, tunnels, and forts, with enough time to hit the sledding hill wherever we create one! In previous explorations around the area, we have encountered gray jays and ravens and followed the tracks of lynx and snowshoe hare.

Note: Please meet at the Montessori at Samish Woods, 1027 Samish Way in Bellingham, to drop-off and again for pick-up.

Cost: $75
