Low Tide Exploration
Marine Park - Bellingham - Directions
Saturday, August 11 - 10:00-12:00PM

Imagine living in a forest that goes completely flat, twice a day. This would be you if you lived in an eelgrass meadow! Imagine how most sea creatures live on the edge of life and death daily, in the toughest conditions imaginable. Marine Park, at the base of Harris Avenue in the Fairhaven area has a surprising variety of places that creatures call home, and each has their favorite places to hide, lay eggs, rear their young and have lunch.

Learn who eats whom during this exploration and discover who lives on the rocks, in the sand, and within the eelgrass meadows. Thanks to Casey, Director of the Marine Life Center at Squalicum Harbor, for exploring with us today!
