Beavers, Salamanders, and Frogs...Oh My! (Grades 1-5)
Meet us at Squires Lake trailhead and explore the lake and surrounding forest. There are beaver lodges, bald eagle nests, a myriad of life teeming in the waters, and limitless places to play. In the winter months, Squires Lake is damp and cold, perfect for migrating salamanders and frogs which return to the pond each year. Using a combination of stealth and stalking we might be able to hear the symphony of the Pacific Chorus frogs or observe beavers at work.
