Making it to this page means you have been automatically added to our list of registrants. You will not receive any other confirmation email regarding your registration.
An informational email with detailed directions will be sent to you two (2) - three (3) days before your program (typically on Wednesday afternoon). If you register the day of, you may not receive the info email, but please feel free to meet us at our posted location anyway! All Wonder Walks emails will be coming from kate@wildwhatcom.org or communityprograms@wildwhatcom.org. Consider adding these addresses to your email contacts list to avoid our emails ending up in SPAM.
Each individual attendee must read and sign our Agreement of Risk and Liability Release. Please have EACH participant in your party fill out their own registration prior to attending. Physical copies will be available to sign in the field for last minute guests. Feel free to bring adult friends even if they haven’t registered!
Be Prepared
Meeting location: Check out the calendar below to see where we are exploring this month.
What to wear: Appropriate clothes (i.e., rain boots, rain jacket/pants, hat/gloves, and warm layers). See our Essentials of Layering for more information.
What to bring: Snack, water bottle, notebook, journal, or sketchbook - and your curiosity!

April | Whatcom falls park
Directions: 1401 Electric Ave. From I-5, take exit 253 (Lakeway Dr.). Head east on Lakeway Dr. for approx. 1.6 miles. Turn Left onto Electric Ave and drive for .2 miles. Turn left onto Arbor St and then turn right onto Sunset Lane until you reach the parking lot near the tennis courts and playground. Map. Or Ride WTA.
May | Cornwall Park (entrance next to parkview Elementary)
Directions: Exact address to come. From I-5, take exit 255 for WA-542 E/Sunset Drive. Turn west onto Sunset Drive and follow for ~1 mile. Turn north onto W Illinois St and then turn east onto Cornwall Ave. Pass the Cornwall Rose Gardens on your left, and drive until you see Parkview Elementary School - the entrance to Cornwall Park is on the left right next to the school. Follow the road until the parking lot dead ends at the cul-de-sac near the large lawn. We will be meeting on the lawn near the wooden pavilion. Map. Or Ride WTA.
June | marine Park
Directions: 100 Harris Ave. From I-5, take exit 250 (Old Fairhaven Parkway/Chuckanut Dr.). Head west on Old Fairhaven Parkway. At intersection with 12th St, continue through light onto Donovan Ave. and veer right onto 10th St. Turn left at Harris Ave. and proceed to the end of Harris Ave. and park entrance on your left. Map. July | Boulevard Park
Directions: 470 Bayview Dr. From I-5, take exit 250 (Old Fairhaven Parkway/Chuckanut Dr). Drive west on Old Fairhaven Parkway for 1.2 miles. Turn right on 12th St., which becomes Finnegan Way and then 11th St. Drive for 0.5 miles. Turn left onto Bayview Dr. and follow the road down to Boulevard Park parking lot. Map. Or Ride WTA.
August | Lake Padden Park (west entrance)
Directions: 4882 S. Samish Way. From I-5, take exit 252 (Samish Way). Drive south on S. Samish Way for approx. 2.1 miles. Turn west at the sign for Lake Padden Park, West Entrance. Parking available near the tennis courts. We will meet at the lakeside picnic table across from the tennis courts. Map. Or Ride WTA.
September | Whatcom Falls Park

November | maritime Heritage park
Directions: 500 W Holly St. From I-5, take exit 253 (Lakeway Drive). Head west on Lakeway Dr. toward downtown. Turn slightly right at Holly St. and take Holly St. through downtown. Maritime Heritage Park is located at 500 W. Holly Street on your right. Map. Or Ride WTA.
