WCEE May Member Spotlight: Wild Whatcom

Wild Whatcom was profiled as the member of the month in Whatcom Coalition for Environmental Education (WCEE) May blog. Covid-19 Update - Mask Policy

Beginning March 14, 2022, Wild Whatcom will be aligning with Whatcom County public schools and lifting the requirement to wear a mask during our programs. Staff, family members, and participants may continue to choose to wear masks during programs. Wild Whatcom mentors are committed to continuing to create safe spaces for participants to make this choice and respect everyone’s choices.

For Wild Things and Community Field Trips participants we ask that you please consider wearing a mask to protect children who may be too young to be vaccinated or wear a mask themselves. These programs regularly serve children under the age of 5 years.

We are still utilizing social distancing when possible to reduce risk.

Also, as of March 14, 2022, Wild Whatcom will align with the Bellingham Public Schools return-to-school guidelines. The timelines vary based on close contact versus positive COVID-19 test, vaccination status, presence of symptoms, and ability or desire to do additional testing, among other considerations. If you have questions, please contact us. To read more, please visit our COVID-19 page.
